Less bleeding
Quicker recovery
Reduced trauma to tissus
Laser energy seals nerve endings
Laser energy seals small blood vessels as it cuts during surgery
Laser energy sterilizes as it is used, killing bacteria that can cause infection
With less bleeding, swelling, and pain, the patient can resume normal activity at a faster rate
Regular Health Examinations
Regular health examinations are encouraged for all patients as it is important to detect medical problems as early as possible. The care which begins early in a puppy or a kitten’s life will pay extra dividends once your companion becomes geriatric. Clients should keep in mind that dogs and cats age about 5 times faster than human’s age (an 8 year old dog is the same age as a 40 year old person) ; therefore, we recommend health examinations twice a year.
Vaccinations
One of the most effective ways of protecting your pet’s health is to provide immunization against various common and sometimes deadly diseases. Our policy is to provide the best protection for your pet without over-vaccinating your pet.
Puppy Day Out
Doggie Day Care is available on a “first come” basis. Regular patients of State Line AH have first priority. Please call our office to make arrangements.
Dietary Planning
A sound diet is vital to the health of your pet at any age. Dietary requirements are essential for proper weight maintenance, performance, growth, and aid in the treatment of diseases.
Geriatric Care
Your pet is considered a senior at 6 to 8 years of age. We recommend a geriatric profile starting at that age including a complete comprehensive blood workup, a complete urinalysis, and chest x-rays. This gives the doctors a database to work from should problems later develop.
Veterinary Acupuncture
Dr. Cheri Jones is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. Acupuncture is one of the most commonly used alternative medicine treatments because of its long history and the growing body of research-based evidence for its efficacy. Clinical trials indicate that acupuncture can be effective in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, and other chronic disease conditions such as asthma, cough, endocrine diseasses, renal failure, and skin conditions. It is a great way to safely enhance the quality of life of our geriatric patients. Dr. Jones has completed 130 hours of continuing education at the Chi Institute for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and a 30 hour internship in order to bring this new treatment to State Line Animal Hospital.
