Dr. Hunt graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2001 and began her career treating (human) patients at a holistic health clinic in Leawood, Kansas. Eventually, her love of animals trumped her desire to help humans, and in 2013, she attended Options for Animals where she earned her Animal Chiropractic degree. In February of 2014, she was certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).
In late 2014, Dr. Hunt joined the staff at State Line Animal Hospital, where she specializes in canine chiropractic care, treating a variety of conditions including back pain, neck pain, lameness, pinched nerve, herniated disc, soft tissue injury, hip dysplasia, spinal cord injury, and more. She combines chiropractic joint manipulation, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, passive range of motion, spinal traction and rehab exercises all into the same treatment. This is a very thorough technique which can create results in fewer treatments and holds longer than a traditional chiropractic adjustment.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Hunt is an exam proctor for IVCA and volunteers for a dog rescue. She spends her free time on her acreage in the country, where she enjoys homesteading alongside her family of farm dogs, barn cats, chickens, ducks and goats.
